Picture frame in white

White picture frames, and especially white wooden frames, is a classic element when it comes to hanging pictures on the wall. A white frame is often well paired with a Scandinavian interior style and in lighter rooms and lighter wall colors. The benefit of a white frame is that it disappears against a lighter background and gives the picture full focus.

A white wooden frame is an example of a classic and commonly used picture frame. The advantage of a white frame is that it against a lighter wall color becomes very discreet and almost disappears. This means that the frame itself take very little focus from the pictures inside, and the pictures are what the eye is drawn towards. If you then combine it with a white margin and/or a passepartout the picture inside gets even more focus and the opportunity to stand out.

The white picture frame fits very well with for example Scandinavian, marine, rural or minimalist interior design styles. If you have white walls and perhaps lighter furniture the white wooden frames could blend in very well with the other furniture in the room. If you for example have a white sofa it can be matched with white frames above, or perhaps if you have a bedroom with a lighter bed the white frames can also fit well.

Here we have collected lots of inspirational pictures of what this could look like in different types of rooms. All the images can be edited with our free picture frame tool if you want to test what they look like on your own wall, or just move around frames or add prints.
